CAF/Path Program
CAF:
CAF is a local organization of the National Family Allowances Fund (CNAF) which allows the management and payment of family allowance benefits.
The CAF's main mission is to financially help families in need. This help is given under the shape of legal benefits. It allows to prevent exclusion and to accompany their beneficiaries to realize projects.
Who are the beneficiaries?
- Employees / employees
- Employers / employers
- Self-employed workers
- The non active population / The non-working population
Foreign students are entitled like all students to housing assistance. The only additional room to be provided will be the residence permit that is valid for more than four months and also valid for the current academic year.
This measure is applicable to all foreign nationals, including the European Economic Community.
Do not wait to receive your final residence permit to return your ALS or APL file (the waiting period may exceed three months!): Return your incomplete file to CAF. You will send the copy of the residence card as soon as you receive it.

Therefore, as a student, to receive housing benefits, you will have to go to My services online and then apply online.

Path Program:
Programme D’avancement pour La Santé et L'éducation (PATH)
Le programme d’avancement pour la santé et l'éducation est un programme de transfert d’argent conditionnel (CCT) financé par le Gouvernement Jamaïcain et la Banque Mondiale dans le but d’offrir des prestations par le biais de subventions en espèces et bourses PATH aux plus démunis et vulnérables dans la société. Afin d'être qualifié pour le PATH, on doit être éligible aux critères du PATH si vous faible revenu ou une famille pauvre. Le candidat de PATH doit passer un entretien et application est complétée avec l’aide du personnel du ministère. Le candidat est tenu de fournir des données personnelles relatives à sa famille, aux niveaux d'éducation atteints et à l'accès de sa famille aux commodités sociales de base. Les renseignements fournis lors de l’entretien sont ensuite vérifiés par une visite à domicile, après quoi les candidats qualifiés sont inscrits pour commencer à recevoir des paiements.
Les Beneficiaires sont:
- Les enfants- de la naissance a la fin des études secondaires.
- Les personnes ages- 60 ans ou plus et s’ils n’ont pas de pension.
- Les personnes avec un handicap.
- Les femme enceinte ou lactating.
- Les adultes pauvres entre 18 à 59 ans.
